The Motovelodromo Fausto Coppi of Turin

are days of ferment in Turin for all cyclists who love cycling in general, but particularly for track bike.
Two simultaneous events have raised a great interest in a sports facility that is also a historical monument, namely the Motovelodromo Corso Casale in Turin. The first
Zino, who has signed up to run with his track bike (Gios Torino course!) And these days you are going at the facility many times as you can see from this splendid shots.


The second is the emergence of the group on facebook Motovelodromo Corso Casale which, exploiting the possibilities of social networking is cinvolgendo moltissimi appassionati.
E così io mi getto in questo fiume in piena e ne approfitto per postare alcune immagini della mia tesi di Architettura, che spero conclusa per Natale di quest'anno, proprio sull'impianto in questione.
Ovviamente essendo una Tesi il confine tra il realizzabile e l'irrealizzabile è confuso, si tratta di un progetto ambizioso, ma mi sembrava giusto proporre qualcosa di particolare.
In sostanza l'impianto classico viene conservato, anche perchè protetto dalla Soprintendenza per i beni Architettonici , ma al suo interno viene creato un velodromo Indoor con pista in legno da 250 m omologata, con una copertura che si alza quando quet'ultimo viene usato, e si abbassa quando is used instead of the classic track, which is further enhanced by a structure of the stands copertuna totalmete mobile. Erik De Vlaeminck, two years older than the famous brother Roger, was a real ruler in the cyclo-cross, but succeeded in establishing itself in different races on the road.
