E' passato circa un'anno dall'apertura dl new showroom here in foxes, and this year I had the opportunity to come into contact with many of our customers and understand that many of them are related to the history of our brand, which must and will always be the solid foundation upon which to bring on new projects as we did in 2010.
For this reason, we decided to establish the historical records of our bikes MADE IN ITALY, a way to catalog and document the story with photos and drawings of our products from 1948 to 1988. Certainly the work is not easy, the material is a lot, but I have made this commitment because it seems only right that people like me who comes close to this profession, then they all should learn from the progress of the past and the history of their family.
The inscription, of course, free will and all the material online will be available on our website http://www.giostorino.it/ , the work will be long and the page is always under construction.
I enclose a draft regulation in order to clarify the ideas on our project:
P hy a historical record?
ll "Historical Register Gios Torino" was created in order to protect the heritage of technical information related to the existence of the blue bike in Turin, and thereby understand the characteristics and methods of conservation.
It 's the first historical records of Bicycles to be established by the brand itself, a sign of deep passion and a deep interest in our family for their "creations".
It also sets the objective of tracking the technical characteristics and design of the Gios bikes built by the year 1988, reproducing the features designs with specially remade by Aldo Marco Gios and highlighting the changes and improvements in techniques over the years.
What is it?
The Register historical Gios Torino "is meant to bring together an audience of fans and create a reference point for collectors who often find it difficult to classify their Gios frame.

Registration is completely free. If you are in possession of a bicycle built before 1988 Gios you can fill out the form you find here
and send it by mail to registrostorico@giostorino.it . Accompanied by the following picture:
